The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing high-quality meals that meet the dietary and nutritional requirements of residents in a long-term care facility.Dietary Cook Responsibilities:Prepare and serve meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines.Adhere to residents' dietary restrictions, preferences, and special requests.Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.Assist in planning menus and food preparation schedules.Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to the supervisor.Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure timely and accurate meal service.Maintain records of food preparation, temperatures, and waste as required.Dietary Cook Qualifications:Previous experience as a Dietary Cook in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and dietary requirements.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent communication skills and a commitment to resident satisfaction.Certification in Food Safety or Serv Safe preferred (or willingness to obtain).Benefits:Competitive pay based on experience.Opportunities for growth and development.A supportive and friendly work environment.
