Maintenance Electrician

We have an opening for a Maintenance Technician position, who will be an important member of the supply chain team during this growth.We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at Second Nature Brands This role is responsible for overall upkeep of electrical needs of the plant, which include but not limited to maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment in our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background with a Journeyman card or equivalent, ensuring all production equipment runs efficiently while adhering to food safety, electrical, and quality standards.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and automated equipmentComplete work orders, document repairs, and issue parts in the CMMS systemTroubleshoot electrical, PLC, and control system issues with guidance as neededCollaborate with operators, supervisors, and maintenance team membersAssist with equipment changeovers and startupsWork with team leaders and supervisors to hit performance targets.Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Q&FS (Quality & Food Safety), and OSHA Safety policies.Continuously learn plant systems, equipment, and processesQualifications And Education RequirementsJourneyman Electrician certification (or equivalent)Basic understanding of electrical systems, motors, sensors, and controlsAbility to read electrical schematicsStrong troubleshooting mindset and willingness to learnKnows how to use a digital multimeter. Testing fuses, reading voltage, etc.High School Education or equivalent.Mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Preferred Skills 1–3 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance environments Previous PLC troubleshooting and basic programming Familiarity with automation components such as VFDs, sensors, photo eyes, encoders, and HMI interfaces Basic mechanical skills, including working with conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and pneumatic system Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be high and employee may be required to wear personal protective equipment. This is an indoor food manufacturing environment. Physical Demands Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, may occasionally life and/or move up to 75 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, and use your hands to control computerized equipment and machinery.
