Other Residential Care FacilitiesResidential Intellectual and Developmental Disability, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse FacilitiesPrivate HouseholdsTraveler AccommodationChild Care ServicesJob Description:Ability to operate effectively in a deadline-driven, multi-entity environment with competing prioritiesPrepare and post recurring and ad-hoc journal entries in support of monthly closePerform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations including cash, accruals, prepaids, and intercompanyMaintain the fixed asset subledger in NetSuite, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliation to the general ledgerProcess intercompany transactions and reconcile balances between Viamedia and LFG entities monthlySupport partner accrual reconciliations in coordination with the Director, Finance and Assistant ControllerAssist with state and local tax filings under Assistant Controller supervisionAssist with payroll timesheet approval follow-ups to support timely and accurate payroll processingPrepare audit support schedules and respond to PBC requests during the year-end external auditServe as backup for the AP Accountant for daily AP work and 1099 preparationServe as the owner of the cash processes including daily bank reconciliationParticipate in process improvement work including ERP enhancements, automation initiatives, and playbook documentationMaintain a current playbook for the Staff Accountant role covering monthly close journal entry list, balance sheet reconciliation procedures, fixed asset subledger maintenance, intercompany reconciliation steps, audit PBC playbook, and AP/cash backup proceduresMaintain appropriate internal controls and compliance with GAAPPerform other duties as may be assignedRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required3-5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including month-end close ownershipHands-on experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systemAdvanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, lookups, and advanced formulasWorking knowledge of GAAP and internal control conceptsCPA or CPA-track preferredStrong interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels within and outside the organizationMust be able to manage multiple priorities, be self-motivating, enthusiastic and diplomaticMust be able to communicate clearly and effectively by telephone, in writing, and in person.Benefits:N/A
