The Operations Project Managers are the interface between the Business Division and Manufacturing. This position is responsible for schedule management and cost accountability of Manufacturing activities for this Business Division. This position requires strong leadership skills, a track record of building high-performance teams with a particular focus on employee development, engagement, inclusion, and retention.What You'll Get to Do:Manage the production execution for Operating Unit programsManage Manufacturing cost and schedule performanceServe as Manufacturing lead for all proposals in the Operating UnitCreate and lead teams to resolve the issues adversely impacting the Manufacturing execution of the programsComprehend and report on Manufacturing Operations status at the required level of detail to the Program Manager, Sector Executive Management and customersEnsure Manufacturing has the resources needed (resources Manufacturing needs as well as allocation of resources from Manufacturing) to execute the programsServe as Functional Manager and direct the work of the reporting Operations Project ManagersPerform manpower planning and execute hiring to support the Business DivisionMentor, develop, and assess direct reportsProvide strategic leadership to ensure all Program and Manufacturing objectives are achievedProvide Manufacturing expertise to support the strategic vision of the Business DivisionWork with cross organizational teams and customers to set and clearly articulate goals/priorities as well as communicate them to key stakeholdersBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience working in Manufacturing, Engineering, Test, Production, Industrial Engineering, Project Engineering, IPT, Operations Project Management (OPM), or similar roles; Master's degree with 6 years of working in Manufacturing, Engineering, Test, Production, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, Project Engineering, IPT, Operations Project Management (OPM), or similar rolesExperience leading people and/or teams across large organizationsAn active/current U.S. Government Secret Clearance requiredAbility to obtain and maintain SAP requiredU.S. Citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field and Master's DegreeDemonstrated expertise in the following systems and concepts: - MRP and IMS Scheduling - SAP production planning and material management tools - ISE/CADSTAR - Earned Value Management - Continuous Improvement, Lean ManufacturingExperience leading Manufacturing proposals that include labor quoting, schedule and capacity analysis, investment planning, and descriptive writing contributionsExcellent presentation and communication skillsProgram execution experienceWhat We Can Offer You:Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
