LHH is partnering with a logistics organization in Middle River, MD to hire a Operations Coordinator on a temporary-to-hire basis. This is a fully onsite position offering the opportunity to collaborate with various teams across the organization in a professional office environment.The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the pay ranges from $20–$23 per hour based on experience.This position is primarily office-based, serving as the front-facing point of contact for drivers, visitors, clients, and vendors. While most responsibilities are administrative and customer-service focused, candidates should also be comfortable entering the warehouse environment periodically to support operations and shipment coordination.The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and willing to jump in wherever needed.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact at the receiving window for drivers, carriers, vendors, and visitorsManage visitor sign-in procedures and provide professional front-desk supportReceive freight bills, shipment documentation, and inbound delivery paperworkCommunicate shipment information to warehouse staff for unloading and processingEnter and maintain shipment and inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS)Review, verify, and organize shipping and receiving documentation for accuracyCoordinate outbound shipment releases and ensure proper authorization proceduresPrepare inventory updates and communicate shipment status to customers and vendors via phone and emailTag and label freight for tracking and inventory controlSupport final-mile delivery coordination and follow-up activitiesCollaborate closely with operations, warehouse, and customer service teamsQualifications1–2 years of customer service or logistics experience preferredPrevious experience in warehousing, moving, distribution, or final-mile logistics strongly preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsComfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quicklyHighly organized with strong attention to detailTeam-oriented mindset with a positive, service-driven attitudeAbility to work independently while managing multiple prioritiesBenefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
