MEP Assistant Superintendent

MEP Assistant Superintendent MEP Department About the Role We are looking for an MEP Assistant Superintendent to join our MEP team on our project in Reno, NV. This is a full-time, in-person position. The role is critical to ensuring successful coordination and installation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and special systems on complex projects. Key Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate all MEP systems installation, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards. Provide leadership and oversight to MEP trade partners and equipment vendors throughout all phases of construction. Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring QA/QC programs, and supporting the Energy Control and Safety Program. Manage punch lists, troubleshoot field engineering issues, and ensure timely resolution of challenges using available resources. Support start-up and commissioning activities, ensuring systems are fully operational and meet performance requirements. Collaborate with project teams from pre-construction through commissioning and close-out to ensure seamless delivery. Maintain strong relationships with clients, design partners, and trade partners to foster collaboration and project success. Qualifications Required 5+ years of commercial construction experience with large, sophisticated MEP systems. Proven ability to manage workforce requirements, monitor project progress, and resolve technical challenges. Experience managing construction of complex MEP infrastructure projects such as data centers, airports, or other special-use facilities. Strong communication and leadership skills for managing client and trade partner relationships. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Familiarity with scheduling tools, QA/QC processes, and commissioning protocols. Knowledge of safety programs and energy control procedures.
