Our tolerances are measured in microns, our equipment is top-of-the-line, and our team is passionate about quality craftsmanship.Job DescriptionThe Quality Assurance Manager leads all quality functions to ensure compliance, product integrity, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. This role oversees QC, QE, QMS, and FAI activities while driving corrective actions, reducing defects, and managing supplier and customer quality. The position partners cross-functionally to integrate quality into processes and support operational and business goals.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all quality functions, including:Quality Control (inspection, CMM programming, lab operations)Quality Engineering (RCCA, supplier quality, customer quality, MRB)QMS Management (audits, document control, system effectiveness)First Article Inspection (FAI / AS9102 package completion)Establish and drive the company's quality strategy aligned with operational and financial goalsDevelop, monitor, and improve key quality metrics (PPM, scrap, rework, COPQ, audit performance, FAI turnaround)Ensure effective root cause analysis and corrective action processes are implemented and sustainedOversee supplier quality performance, including issue resolution and escalationEnsure timely and high-quality responses to customer quality issues and maintain strong customer confidenceDrive reduction of internal defects and variation through data-driven process improvementsEnsure the Quality Management System is compliant, effective, and actively used by the organizationLead internal and external audit activities and maintain certification requirementsImprove efficiency and throughput of inspection and FAI processes to support production flowServe as the escalation point for critical quality issues impacting customers or operationsPartner cross-functionally to ensure quality is built into processes during NPI and productionRequired SkillsStrong leadership capability with experience managing multiple quality functions (QC, QE, QMS, FAI)Deep understanding of quality systems (AS9100 / ISO 9001) and ability to ensure practical, effective implementationProven root cause and corrective action expertise (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) with a track record of reducing repeat issuesSolid knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably CNC machining and high-mix/low-volume environmentsStrong working knowledge of GD&T, inspection methods, and metrology systems (including CMM)Ability to analyze quality data and drive improvements in PPM, scrap, rework, and overall cost of poor qualityExperience managing supplier quality issues and driving corrective actions with external vendorsStrong customer-facing skills, including handling complaints, RMAs, and formal responses (8D, SCAR)Ability to balance compliance with operational efficiency (avoid over-inspection, build practical systems)Effective cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills with Operations, Engineering, and Supply ChainEducation / ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)7+ years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment3+ years of leadership experience managing quality teams or multiple quality functionsExperience in semiconductor and medical industries preferredStrong familiarity with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standardsBackground in CNC machining or precision manufacturing strongly preferredSix Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) preferredSchedule8 hour shiftMonday to FridayBenefitsHealth Insurance (Medical/Dental/Vision) paid 100% for employeesLife insurance policySafe Harbor 401(K) plan401(K) matchesPaid time off (vacation/sick/holidays/floating holiday)Referral program*** We do not offer visa sponsorship***
