Open Box Assurance (OBA) Supervisor

Job SummaryThe OBA Supervisor leads the Out-of-Box Audit (OBA) team in performing final product appearance inspections prior to shipment. This role ensures that finished products meet customer expectations for packaging and visible quality. The OBA Supervisor manages inspection activities, oversees defect handling, and coordinates with Process Engineering and Quality teams to implement corrective actions.The Quality department is responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturinglifecycle, from New Product Introduction (NPI) to Mass Production (MP) support. The team monitors manufacturing performance, analyzes test data, drives yield improvement, and ensures compliance with customer requirements and industry standards. It works closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to identify risks, resolve quality issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.Duties/Responsibilities:• Supervise the OBA team to ensure consistent and accurate visual inspections of finished products• Plan and oversee final product inspections prior to shipment, ensuring compliance with customerappearance and packaging standards• Upload inspection results to the internal Shop Floor system, and capture and store photos inshared folders to support traceability and record‑keeping.• Identify product defects and coordinate rework or corrective actions with Process Engineers andQuality Engineers• Make independent decisions on appearance-related issues, determining acceptance or rejection.Escalate rejected items to the Process Engineering team for resolution.• Re-inspect corrected units to verify that defects have been properly addressed before final release• Ensure inspection records are maintained accurately to support future customer returns or rootcause analyses• Train and guide OBA team members on inspection procedures, quality standards, and properdocumentation• Monitor inspection workflow, assign tasks, and ensure team productivity and adherence toschedulesRequired Skills/Abilities: (Example of skills set)• Strong understanding of visual quality inspection standards and procedures• Ability to identify product defects through inspection processes.• Strong organizational and supervisory skills to manage team and inspection workflow• Good communication skills for coordination with Process and Quality teams• Proficiency in documentation, photo capture, and Shop Floor system usage• Attention to detail and ability to enforce quality standards consistentlyEducation and Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or arelated field is preferred.• High school diploma is required.• 5+ years of experience in quality inspection, auditing, or related manufacturing roles• Experience supervising a team or coordinating workflow preferred• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferredOur company does not guarantee immigration sponsorship.
