House Manager/Peer Recovery Specialist

Job Description We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and recovery-focused House Manager to oversee the daily operations of a sober living home. The House Manager will help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment for residents in recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.The ideal candidate is organized, professional, compassionate, and able to maintain house structure while supporting residents in achieving long-term recovery and independent living goals.ResponsibilitiesResident Support & SupervisionMaintain a safe, clean, sober, and recovery-oriented living environment.Monitor resident compliance with house rules, curfews, chore schedules, and recovery expectations.Conduct house meetings and promote positive peer interactions.Support residents with accountability, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.Assist with resident intake, orientation, and discharge processes.Encourage participation in treatment, recovery meetings, employment, and community activities.House OperationsOversee day-to-day operations of the sober living home.Ensure the home remains clean, organized, and properly maintained.Complete routine property inspections and report maintenance concerns.Maintain inventory of household supplies and communicate operational needs to leadership.Assist with medication monitoring procedures when applicable and permitted.Documentation & CommunicationMaintain accurate documentation related to resident activities, incidents, and house operations.Report concerns, incidents, relapses, or emergencies to program leadership promptly.Communicate effectively with clinical teams, case managers, probation officers, and community partners when authorized.Support compliance with program policies, confidentiality standards, and safety procedures.Crisis ManagementRespond appropriately to emergencies, conflicts, behavioral concerns, or relapse situations.Implement emergency procedures and safety protocols as needed.Maintain professional boundaries while providing supportive guidance.QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or GED.Minimum of 1 year experience in recovery support, behavioral health, residential services, case management, or related field.Knowledge of substance use recovery principles and recovery support services.Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.Ability to work independently and maintain structure within the home.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.PreferredPeer Recovery Specialist certification or behavioral health certification preferred.Experience working in sober living or residential treatment settings.CPR/First Aid certification.Individuals with lived recovery experience are encouraged to apply.ScheduleFull-time availability required.Some evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities may be required.BenefitsCompetitive payPaid training and professional developmentOpportunity to make a meaningful impact in the recovery communitySupportive team environmentIdeal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:Leads with compassion and accountabilityUnderstands recovery and the importance of structureCan remain calm in stressful situationsIs dependable, professional, and team-orientedHas a passion for helping individuals rebuild their livesCompany DescriptionWe are a compassionate community committed to helping individuals reclaim their lives from addiction and mental health challenges.
