Residential Counselor

PEP is seeking a dedicated Residential Counselor to support adults with chronic mental illness in developing the skills needed for independent living. This role is hands-on, client-centered, and essential to creating a safe, supportive home environment within our residential program.What You'll DoSupport residents in daily living skills such as cleaning, meal prep, budgeting, and shoppingAssist clients in meeting social, environmental, and health-related needsPlan and participate in social and recreational activitiesTransport residents to appointments, activities, and the PEP centerProvide crisis intervention and emergency support when neededDocument client progress, behaviors, and daily activitiesMonitor medication compliance and report concernsMaintain safe, clean housing units and report maintenance needsSupport clients with personal hygiene and self-care routinesWhat We're Looking ForAA in Human Services (preferred) with 1+ year experience orBA in Psychology or Human ServicesAbility to complete at least one month of on‑the‑job trainingClean driving recordAbility to pass a criminal background checkMust remain awake and available during overnight shifts (if applicable)What You'll BringPatience, compassion, and a commitment to client safetyStrong communication and documentation skillsA collaborative mindset and willingness to participate in household tasksComfort working in a residential environment with clients who have intensive needsIf you're passionate about helping others build independence and stability, we'd love to hear from you.
