Principal Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a Principal Test Automation Engineer to support advanced enterprise and AI-driven networking environments. This role will be responsible for driving test strategy, automation, and quality validation across complex data center and enterprise network solutions.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and execute end-to-end test topologies and test cases based on customer and business requirementsPartner with AI Infrastructure Test Engineering teams to improve solution coverage and reduce customer-found defectsReview and enhance Python automation for scalable regression and validation testingAnalyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software and networking issuesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to validate multidimensional deployment scenarios and performance benchmarksSupport replication and root cause analysis of customer-reported issuesWork closely with architecture and product development teams to align testing strategies with customer network prioritiesProvide proof-of-concept validations for emerging customer use cases and technologiesPartner with global engineering teams, architects, and leadership stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field10+ years of networking experienceStrong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, MPLS, OSPF/ISIS, Multicast, NAT, GRE, IPSec, and related protocolsExperience with enterprise, cloud provider, and AI/ML data center technologiesExpertise in Layer 2/Layer 3 technologies, CLOS architecture, and HA design conceptsExperience with automated testing frameworks and scripting using Python, Pytest, Go, or similar technologiesHands-on experience with networking test equipment such as Spirent and IxiaStrong communication and technical leadership skillsLocation: Hybrid role – Open to relocation in San Juan, Puerto Rico (Relocation assistance provided)
