ROLEWe are looking for an experienced Forensic Accountant to support the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Northern District of Georgia (USAO NDGA). Data Analysis:Analyze databases from Medicaid, Medicare (i.e., Part A, Part B, and Part D), and other federal agenciesOrganize, analyze, and present data using common software programs (e.g., Case Map7, I-Pro7, and STARs)Create and evaluate statistically valid random samples (SVRS)Create, analyze, and defend statistically valid random samples from data poolsPerform quantitative, qualitative, and statistical analysis on relevant data and facts to support investigationsDevelop data techniques to demonstrate and prove fraud in healthcare fraud casesSupport Civil Division investigations and litigation using data analysisII. Fraud Detection:Design data techniques for fraud detectionDevelop data techniques to demonstrate and prove fraud in healthcare fraud casesIII. Financial Analysis:Analyze a large variety of accounting systems and financial recordsExamine financial books, records, electronic data, and activitiesObtain detailed financial information from other sourcesReconstruct partial/inadequate records using automated systems and database applicationsPrepare audit reports by analyzing claims data, financial records, and/or tax recordsCreate detailed charts and schedulesIV. Electronic Data Management:Use electronic resources for data management and presentation in investigations and litigationCollect, organize, and quality check large and complex electronically stored information (ESI)Upload ESI to document management and review platforms (e.g., Relativity, Everlaw, Eclipse)Review, manipulate, and tag or index ESI productionsPull, compile, and prepare documents from review platformsV.
