We have an immediate opening for aCommunity Services Specialist in Androscoggin County. This is afull-time, hybrid position (40 hours/week) where youll make a realimpact supporting older adults, adults with disabilities, and theirfamilies.**As a team member of the Community Services Department,responsibilities include**: Providing information, advocacy, counseling, and assistance to olderadults, adults with disabilities, and their families. Supporting clients in identifying and accessing community-basedservices and in planning for long-term support needs. Performing comprehensive client assistance services, includinginformation sharing, needs assessment, education on long-term careoptions, and future planning. Providing counseling and referrals, ensuring clients and familiesare linked to needed services. Advocating on behalf of clients and promoting community awareness oflong-term care planning. Serving as a collaborative liaison with community health and humanservice organizations.Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in social services, human services, social work, ora related field required. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may beconsidered. Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or eligibility for licensure preferred. 13 years of professional experience in case management, social work,nursing, gerontology, health services, or related human servicesfield preferred. Valid Maine State drivers license.
