As a manager you will be a vital member of the team driving project management work at various points in the financial due diligence process.The manager can be based in any of the following US office locations (Boston, MA; New York, NY; Whippany, NJ; Princeton, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; Irvine, CA; Chicago, IL; Tysons Corner, VA; Houston, TX; Buffalo, NY or remotely).Withum’s brand reflects our people, our culture and our strength. But our commitment goes beyond our clients as we continue to live the Withum Way, promoting personal and professional growth for all team members, clients, and surrounding communities.How You’ll Spend Your TimeManaging multiple work streams at any given timeCoordinating financial due diligence engagementsCollaborating with client management on diligence focus areas and providing real-time communications of issues and deal considerationsParticipating in discussions regarding business performance and forecasting assumptions with senior team managementIdentifying and supporting analyses of target financial data to identify valuation and contractual matters for consideration in evaluating quality of earnings, normalized working capital, and items affecting future cash flowsWorking on reports that set out our findings and recommendations around the key financial and business issues in a transactionIdentifying integration, separation and post-transaction transition issuesCollaborating with other team members and contributing to the ongoing development of M&A best practicesAnalyzing financial and operational results of businesses to be acquired or sold through reviewing accounting records, understanding the drivers of the business and conducting interviews with managementResearching industry trends and technologies, as well as seasonality and cyclicality on cash flow requirements to provide knowledge and insight to clientsUtilizing technology/tools in analyzing datasets and presenting visualizationsThe Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following:A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 5+ years of related M&A work experience; supported by an active CPA certification or in the process of obtaining oneExperience gained within another large professional services organization; public accounting experience preferredHigh proficiency in Excel and PowerPointEffective communication skills both internally and externally, promoting active listening and consistently following up on open action items appropriatelyExcellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insightsThe ability to prioritize effectively on projects and the skills to adapt quickly to new challenges and conceptsWorking knowledge of US GAAPThe desire to be a long-term contributor to a dynamic teamMust be willing and able to travel up to 40% on short noticeExperience in a mergers or acquisition transaction roleEstablished networking skills in a relevant industryThe compensation for this position is $130,000-$165,000. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications.
