Coursework in accounting, finance, economics, or businessLiving near our headquarters in South BerkeleyExcel skills such a VLOOKUPS, pivot tables, etc. Having experience auditing payroll results to ensure compliance with tax laws and companies policiesEssential FunctionsServe as the sole person responsible for processing all payroll across for +/- 100 employeesTrain field staff to use our new ADP application on smartphones at up to five field locationsWork full-time on-site on the multi-floor building that does not have an elevator. You’ll need to go upstairs and downstairs multiple times throughout the day. Accurately process hourly payroll once per week and salaried payroll bi-weekly including overtime, commissions, bonuses and all applicable taxes, 401(k) contributions, and health insurance premiumsCreate reports that outline deductions, overtime, tax liabilities, etcReview payroll data accuracy and comply with local/state/Federal regulations ensuring all payroll tax filings are correctly submittedWork alongside our Human Resources and Payroll Manager on benefits, PTO-related deductions, employee payroll records, promotions/wage increases, separations/final checks, tax forms, and attendance dataCollaborate with other accounting- and office-related managers and staffOther payroll and human resources functions as directed by your manager BASIC REQUIREMENTS Of THIS POSITIONBi-lingual English/SpanishExperience doing payroll for +/- 100 people including weekly and biweekly An interest in Human Resources and willingness to take on more HR work over time.
