Our engaging and rigorous approach to educating our scholars is implemented by a collaborative team of teachers.Job OverviewThe ECS coach is responsible for developing teachers in one of the schools within our network at the elementary or middle school level. The successful candidate will have evidence of strong performance with educating students and coaching teachers. Coaches work collaboratively with school leaders and other stakeholders to enhance instructional practices, improve student outcomes and promote a culture of continuous improvement. This position reports to the school principal.Candidate ProfileLifelong learner of curriculum and student learningHigh confidence in ability to help most students reach grade level or above achievement, regardless of backgroundStrong background knowledge in relevant content areasExperience developing teachers into coaches or some other related positionEnjoys modeling instructional practices for and with teachers in a classroom settingDelivers feedback that is timely, objective, direct and constructiveConsiders the whole adult and the whole child when using data to make decisionsGravitates towards high accountability environmentsHas a traditional leaning regarding educational practices (direct instruction, frequent assessment, homework, etc.)QualificationsMaster's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field.
