Strategic CTO — Petrochemical Process Innovation

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a strong Chemical Engineering background and over 25 years of industry experience in petrochemical and downstream processing projects. The CTO will lead the company’s technology strategy, engineering excellence, and project execution capabilities across complex, large-scale projects.Key Responsibilities1. Technology LeadershipDefine and drive the company’s technology vision, strategy, and roadmap.Lead innovation and adoption of advanced technologies in petrochemical processes and plant design.Provide technical authority on process engineering, design standards, and best practices.2. Engineering ManagementOversee Basic Engineering Design (BED) and Detailed Engineering Design (DED) activities.Ensure engineering quality, efficiency, and compliance with international standards.Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across process, mechanical, piping, instrumentation, and electrical disciplines.3. Project Execution Excellenceleadership across full project lifecycle execution (FEED, EPC, commissioning).Guide teams in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.Act as technical advisor for complex engineering and execution challenges.4. Project Leadership ExperienceLeverage prior experience as Project Engineer and Project Manager to strengthen execution frameworks.Mentor project teams and establish best practices in project planning, risk management, and delivery.5. Petrochemical ExpertiseProvide deep technical oversight and guidance on projects including:Naphtha Cracker to PolyolefinsPTA and PETCondensate Splitter and AromaticsEvaluate new technologies, licensors, and process improvements in these domains.6. Stakeholder & Business SupportSupport business development with technical proposals, feasibility studies, and client presentations.Engage with clients, licensors, and partners at senior levels.Contribute to strategic decisions on investments, technology partnerships, and project selection.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (Master’s or PhD preferred).Minimum 25 years of relevant experience in petrochemical / EPC / chemical industries.Extensive experience in:Basic and Detailed Engineering DesignProject Engineering and Project Management rolesLarge-scale project execution (EPC / EPCM)Proven track record in delivering complex petrochemical projects.Strong leadership experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams.Key CompetenciesStrategic thinking and leadershipDeep technical expertise in petrochemical processesStrong project execution and delivery capabilityStakeholder management and communicationProblem-solving and decision-making at executive levelPreferred AttributesExperience working with international licensors and global EPC contractorsExposure to digitalization, optimization, and advanced process technologiesStrong commercial awareness and business acumen #J-18808-Ljbffr
