Banquet CookOpportunity:The Osthoff Resort & Spa is seeking a Banquet Cook to join our banquet culinary team! As a Banquet Cook, you will assist with all aspects of banquet food preparation and execution, ensuring high standards and delivering memorable dining experiences. Our Banquet Department hosts a wide range of events including weddings, corporate conferences, and seasonal buffets.Full-time or part-time positions available. Full-time benefits include paid vacation, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k plus company match, resort-wide discounts, and more!The wage range for this position is $18-$25/hr, dependent on experience.Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented to the standards set for The Osthoff Resort & SpaCollaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all banquet event orders are completed in a timely mannerMaintain knowledge of standard menus, special menus, and 86 itemsPractice clear and effective communication with all kitchen and banquet team membersDemonstrate working knowledge of dietary needs and its importance to safe food handlingMonitor food quality, portion control, and presentation for all banquet functionsEnsure all food safety and sanitation protocols are strictly followedMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environmentMaintain a harmonious work environmentAll other duties as assignedSkills/Requirements: Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred1-3 years of experience in a high-volume banquet or resort setting preferredStrong organizational and communication skillsFlexible schedule including some evening, weekend, and holiday availabilityPassion for hospitality and a commitment to excellenceWhy Work at the Osthoff Resort & Spa?The Osthoff Resort & Spa’s mission is to deliver the best Midwest resort experience to our guests.
