The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Kotlin, Android Studio, Android SDK, Android Jetpack, REST APIs, mobile security, and Android UI development.Must-Have Technical Skills5+ years of experience developing and maintaining Android applications.Proficiency with Android Studio and Android SDK.Strong programming experience with Java and Kotlin.Solid understanding of the native Android application development lifecycle.Strong knowledge of Android SDK versions, device compatibility, and handling different screen sizes and resolutions.Strong understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.Advanced experience consuming and integrating REST APIs within Android applications.Strong understanding of mobile application security, including:Certificate pinningSecure key storageData-at-rest and data-in-transit protectionPayload encryption/decryptionExperience writing unit tests and UI tests to ensure application quality.Hands-on experience with Android Jetpack components.Experience working with JIRA and Confluence.Proficiency with Git and code versioning tools.Ability to understand, evaluate, and integrate third-party libraries and SDKs.Strong communication, critical-thinking, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.Roles & ResponsibilitiesAnalyze project requirements and specifications to determine application scope, features, and technical requirements.Design and develop scalable native Android applications using Java, Kotlin, Android Studio, and Android SDK.Design application architecture, including UI components, data layers, backend integrations, and application workflows.Integrate Android applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.Implement secure data handling, encryption, authentication, and other mobile security best practices.Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces following Android UI/UX standards.Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and bug fixing throughout the development and testing lifecycle.Develop and maintain unit and UI test cases to ensure application reliability and quality.Integrate and maintain third-party libraries and SDKs.Collaborate with developers, designers, product managers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to deliver applications on schedule.Participate in code reviews, version control, testing, deployment, and production support activities.Use JIRA and Confluence for project tracking, documentation, and collaboration.Stay current with the latest Android development technologies, frameworks, SDK updates, and best practices.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and design patterns.Experience troubleshooting application performance, compatibility, and security issues.Strong ability to communicate technical concepts and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
