Cloud EngineerApex Systems has a current Cloud Engineer opening in Houston, TX with a leading Oil and Gas client.Contract opportunity!Location: Houston, TX (must be local)Cloud Infra-as-Code product team is looking for an experienced cloud engineer with large scale and enterprise experience to help with overall automation of infrastructure requirements for the product line.Technical requirements:2-5 years of demonstrated experience on a large scale, enterprise environmentMulti discipline Software Engineering and development (5+ years), dotnet, powershell, C#Multi discipline IT Skills, Linux, windows, SQL administration or development – multi-year experience in enterprise organization.Ansible automation (2+ years)Cloud (Azure) automation experience (2+ years), DevOpsAzure Certifications preferredKubernetes / Docker Containerization experience preferredJob Details:Cloud Engineers are IT professionals who design, implement, and manage cloud-based systems for businesses. They develop and implement cloud-applications, migrate existing on-premise applications to the cloud, and debug cloud stacks.Cloud Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:Working in tandem with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company.Planning, designing and developing cloud-based applications.Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.Deploying and debugging cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle.Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required.Employing exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they snowball into problems.Using your extensive knowledge of APIs to design RESTful services, and integrate them with existing data providers, using JSON or XML as needed.Lead and develop best practices for larger Cloud Engineer team.Building and designing web services in the cloud, along with implementing the set-up of geographically redundant services.Orchestrating and automating cloud-based platforms throughout the company.Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the company excel.Required Skills: PowerShell
