Proofs must be uploaded with profile. The Interventional Radiology Lab provides care to acute inpatient and elective outpatient populations. Care is primarily provided through an interdisciplinary team of specialized physicians and registered nursing staff. Staff is available 24/7 for any emergency procedures during off hours, weekends, and holidays. Procedures include angiograms, peripheral revascularization, placement and maintenance of hemodialysis catheters, and nephrostomy drainage tubes. Other responsibilities involve placement and maintenance of gastrostomy and jejunostomy tubes, central line placement, and various pain management interventions. Nursing care includes pre and post-care for patients undergoing renal, liver, and lung biopsies, as well as carotid stenting. The patient population includes adolescent to geriatric individuals.
