Plant Operations Manager

Job DescriptionMackie Myers is partnering with an Industrial Manufacturer looking for a Plant Operations Manager to oversee 2 facilities on the West Coast.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations to ensure production schedules, workflow, and quality standards are met.Monitor and coordinate activities across assigned departments to support operational objectives.Ensure efficient use of labor, equipment, materials, and resources.Develop and implement operational plans aligned with business goals and budgets.Participate in workforce planning, including staffing levels and training needs.Maintain compliance with safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.Support training programs and ensure required skills and certifications are maintained.Review labor reporting and timekeeping for accuracy and policy compliance.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.Partner with quality, engineering, and maintenance functions as needed.Oversee preventive maintenance activities and equipment readiness.Assist in capital equipment evaluation, implementation, and startup.Address operational challenges, including emergency or non‑routine situations.Analyze performance data and implement corrective actions where needed.Uphold organizational values and professional standards.Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervises employees in compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Requirements include:Strong attention to detailLean manufacturing experiencePrior management experienceCNC machining experienceCNC programming experienceMechanical assembly experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and ERP systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environmentCustomer-service orientationStrong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilitiesExtensive knowledge of brazing stainless steel, steel, aluminum, copper, and other metalsEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering or Operations ManagementBroad technical knowledge (e.g., electrical, chemical, or mechanical engineering) equivalent to a college degreeMinimum of 10–15 years of related experienceWorking knowledge of AS9100 quality systems preferred but not requiredLanguage SkillsAbility to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions.Mathematical SkillsAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide using tens and hundreds.Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions and solve problems involving a limited number of defined variables.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsAuthorization to work in the United StatesEligibility to obtain any required U.S. Government export authorizations in compliance with export control regulationsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described represent those required to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
