Job DescriptionPosition Title: Band Saw OperatorFLSA Classification: Non-ExemptJob Type: Full TimeSchedule: Night ShiftPosition SummaryAs a band saw operator, you take a variety of materials and run it over the band saw table, following the appropriate process to cut the material into specified shapes. Your job duties include operating and maintaining the band saw through routine preventative maintenance. A band saw is a serrated blade wrapped around a conveyor belt, so you must inspect it regularly for broken wheels, missing teeth, and other defects.Key Responsibilities Set up and Operation Cutting Materials Quality Control Maintenance Safety Troubleshooting Collaboration Documentation Loading and UnloadingIdeal Candidate Must Previous experience Mechanical Aptitude Attention to Detail Physical Stamina Communication Skills Safety Awareness. Be able to read a tape measure and pass a tape test. Have a clean work history & pass a physical / drug screen. Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment. Have to ability to work with sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy and order. Demonstrate the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Have a high attention to detail. Be able to work in any weather condition.
