This role plays a critical part in supporting the firm’s new business intake process, conflicts resolution, and overall ethical compliance framework.About the RoleThe Conflicts Resolution Attorney works closely with Conflicts Counsel, partners, and senior risk professionals to identify, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest matters. The role requires strong legal judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex and time-sensitive issues in a fast-paced environment.You will be responsible for reviewing conflicts reports, conducting legal and factual research, developing resolution strategies, and drafting conflict waiver documentation. This role also involves advising attorneys on risk-related issues and ensuring adherence to firm policies and professional responsibility standards.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and resolve conflicts reports in coordination with Conflicts Counsel and attorneysConduct detailed legal and factual research using internal and external systemsIdentify, assess, and escalate potential conflicts of interest issuesDraft and review conflict waivers, engagement letters, and related documentationAdvise on ethical walls and risk mitigation strategiesMaintain accurate documentation of clearance decisions and conflict resolutionsSupport training initiatives for conflicts analysts and legal staffCollaborate on process improvements, policy updates, and risk management initiativesParticipate in complex, high-priority firmwide conflicts projectsEnsure compliance with professional responsibility and firm guidelinesAbout YouJ.D. required with active bar admission in good standing (U.S. jurisdiction; California preferred)2+ years of experience in law firm, legal, conflicts, ethics, compliance, or risk managementStrong understanding of conflicts of interest rules and legal ethics principlesExcellent legal research, writing, and analytical skillsStrong communication and stakeholder management abilitiesExperience with IntApp Conflicts, ServiceNow, iManage, or similar systems preferredHighly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing prioritiesAbility to exercise sound judgment and handle confidential information
