With strong engineering expertise, Sedron's processes reduce nutrient pollution, lower operational expenses, and promote sustainability at a fraction of traditional costs.The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the Engineering Manager in coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities to ensure technical deliverables support project execution. This role integrates engineering, procurement, and construction requirements and supports the project team in delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.The Project Engineer serves as the central coordination point between engineering disciplines, project management, and construction teams, taking direction from the Engineering Manager, and supporting the Project Director as necessary.Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:Coordinate engineering disciplines to ensure alignment with project scope, schedule and budgetSupport constructability reviews and provide technical support during construction activitiesCoordinate responses to RFIs, design clarifications, and field change requestsMaintain project documentation and engineering decision logsConduct site visits and field walkdowns to verify installation quality and adherence to design intentOverseeing upkeep of the Document Master Index for the projectServe as a primary coordinator of technical and organizational interfaces across the projectIdentify and manage interfaces between:Engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, electrical, controls, process)Engineering firms and EPC partnersEquipment vendors and designersConstruction contractorsOperations, maintenance, and commissioning teamsMaintain and track an interface register identifying interface responsibilities, deliverables, and deadlinesFacilitate communication and issue resolution across project teams to prevent scope gaps, design conflicts, or delaysSupport technical procurement activities including:Preparation of bid packagesVendor technical bid evaluationsEquipment specification reviewsVendor drawing and document reviewCoordinate vendor deliverables and ensure alignment with project engineering and schedule requirementsMonitor engineering and construction progress to ensure alignment with project milestonesIdentify risks, constraints, and potential schedule impacts and help implement mitigation strategiesAssist with scope management and change control processesSupport development of system turnover and commissioning plansAssist with commissioning activities and issue resolution between engineering, construction, and operations teamsEnsure documentation completeness for project closeout and operational readinessPromote and support a strong project safety culture.Ensure engineering and construction activities comply with codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.This position allows for growth and career progression to be determined by performance, certifications, and supervisor discretion.BENEFITSMultiple medical, dental, and vision insurance options to keep you feeling your best401(k) with employer matchingGenerous paid time off and paid holidays (plus 2 floating holidays to use your way)Disability, Life, and AD&D InsuranceFSA and HSA options with employer contributionsTuition reimbursement - we invest in your growthCasual work attire - no suits required (unless that's your thing)EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline)5-10 years of experience in industrial project engineering, EPC, or capital project deliveryExperience supporting large industrial or infrastructure projects ($100M+)Industrial facility design and constructionEngineering documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and layoutsBasic understanding of project controls, construction processes, and commissioningMust have effective verbal, reading, and written communication skills in the English languageStrong interface coordination and cross-functional collaborationExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage complex technical information across multiple stakeholdersStrong problem-solving and analytical capabilityHigh attention to detail, safety, and qualityAbility to operate effectively in fast-paced project environmentsMust have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English languagePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSProfessional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT)Experience with Design Build and EPC project execution modelsExperience managing technical interfaces across multi-contractor projectsFamiliarity with project management tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similarADDITIONAL INFORMATIONCompensation range for this role is between $115,000 - 160,000 annuallyThe range provided is Sedron's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.Discretionary bonusTravel up to 20%Must be a US Citizen or legal permanent resident for this position.
