Role : Sunbird DCIM EngineerLocation : Atlanta, GAFTE ONLYJob DescriptionMust Have Technical/Functional SkillsStrong experience with structured cabling systems including fiber (SM/MM) and copper (Cat5e/6/6a)Proficiency in cable documentation, labelling standards, and connectivity mappingHands-on knowledge of DCIM platforms (Sunbird preferred) for asset, capacity, and connectivity managementAbility to maintain accurate patching records, rack elevations, and device templatesStrong skills in AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio for rack, floor, and network diagrammingExperience mapping NIC ports, switch ports, MAC addresses, and interface rolesUnderstanding of firmware data currency, device models, templates, and configuration accuracyFamiliarity with workflow, change management, and MACD processesStrong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and audit readinessAbility to collaborate with network, server, and data center operations teamsRoles & ResponsibilitiesMaintain complete and accurate structured cabling documentation across fiber and copper plantUpdate and manage rack layouts, elevations, cabling paths, and network diagrams using AutoCAD/VisioAdminister Sunbird DCIM (or equivalent) for asset tracking, capacity planning, and connectivity mappingDocument NIC card layouts, including mapping to patch panels, switch ports, MAC details, speeds, and interface type (Prod/Mgmt/iDRAC)Keep device inventory, firmware data, and DCIM model libraries current and compliantEnsure all moves/adds/changes (MACD) are accurately logged and reflected in DCIMSupport quarterly/annual audits, compliance checks, and data center governance activitiesCollaborate with cabling vendors, network teams, and server teams to maintain accurate end to end connectivity mapsMaintain device templates, rack layouts, and structured cabling databases for capacity planning and forecastingProvide visual diagrams and documentation for new deployments, expansions, or migrations
