Business Litigation Attorney (on-site)

McNamara Smith is a small firm of accomplished attorneys with national experience and expertise across multiple practice areas, including White Collar and Regulatory Defense, Internal Investigations, Complex Civil Litigation, Intellectual Property Litigation, and Regulatory Receiverships and Monitorships. Most of our work is in federal court and we focus on only a limited number of complex investigations and cases at any one time. We are seeking a litigation attorney with at least three years of experience to join our firm. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, exceptional analysis and writing skills, and be a member of the California Bar. Candidates with federal judicial clerkship experience are of particular interest. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our team to analyze facts and develop and implement strategy in complex and sophisticated matters across the white collar, securities and civil areas. We strive to produce well-researched and exceptionally written pleadings and motions. You will be expected to conduct thorough and thoughtful legal research to inform case strategy and produce well-written memoranda and motions working in conjunction with senior attorneys at the firm. We advance professional development by providing opportunities for substantive court appearances and related opportunities. You will have the chance to work directly with clients to provide investigation and case updates, discuss legal strategies, and address client concerns. Typical base salary range is from $145,000 to $215,000 depending on experience.
