Candidates for the Vice President position should be seasoned professionals with a deep understanding of the complexities of institutional roles, including shared governance and labor unions. The role requires a strategic leader who can guide the company's diversity and inclusion agenda, oversee the Title IX, Title VI, and Affirmative Action offices, and ensure that the institution meets its civil rights responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the field, with excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of fostering community and collaborative relationships. Experience in driving cultural change, engaging in difficult conversations, and a strong commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential.
