Regional Sales Manager (Southwest) - Houston or Dallas area
Job descriptionThe ideal candidate will be responsible for building the company’s network of distributors by building the company's brand, acquiring new clients, and maintaining customer relationships. You should have an attention to detail while helping resolve issues, compete, and communicate. QualificationsCollege degree or equivalent 4 + years of industrial sales experience and account management. Coated abrasives product knowledge and sales experience or selling industrial consumables such as bolts/fasteners, grinding wheels, or cutting tools would be helpful. Training provided. Ability to travel as needed to grow the distribution network in all areas of the territory starting with the closest regions and adding areas of interest as the territory grows. Self-motivated, professional, and responsible.ResponsibilitiesManage existing business and gain new business through industrial and specialty distributors that specialize in selling abrasives and other industrial products to wood floor refinishers and installers, the granite and stone countertop market, collision repair shops (auto body shops) and others.Your day will consist of making sales calls and product presentations to current distributors and prospective distributors to build market share. You should be comfortable speaking with all levels of management, sales staff and even end users.The Southwest territory covers the states of Texas, Louisiana, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah. Travel is necessary within the territory and for meetings at the home office in Charlotte, NC. We are looking for a candidate that lives in the Houston or Dallas metro area.DutiesService existing accounts and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets.Help customers learn to submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.Keep management informed by submitting monthly and annual territory analysis.Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.Educate customers on specifications of material available for sale and their intended applications as necessary.What we offer:Competitive salary package including performance incentives.Auto allowance and fuel reimbursement.Company paid travel expenses.Generous health, dental, vision, life insurance.401K with 4% matchOpportunity for growth within our company.An excellent work environment.
