Applications Developer

This role is perfect for those who thrive in a dynamic environment and are passionate about driving technical excellence.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop applications, scripts, and libraries to automate solutions from start to finish.Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features and improvements.Analyze and optimize performance bottlenecks to enhance code efficiency.Participate in code and design reviews to ensure high-quality and maintainable code.Debug software defects and issues related to automation scripts and playbooks.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation scripts, playbooks, and procedures.SkillsProficiency in Python, JavaScript, and Ansible for automating network infrastructure.Experience with NodeJS, NextJS, or React.Familiarity with source code version control systems and GitLab Actions.Experience with AWS services, including Fargate / ECS, and using Terraform.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.Preferred SkillsKnowledge of networking protocols, distributed systems, or real-time systems.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.At Horizontal, we are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all individuals are valued and respected.
