Job DescriptionMorton is seeking a Software Engineer II to join a dynamic IT Delivery team focused on building modern, scalable business solutions. This role is ideal for a mid-level engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, collaborating across teams, and working with modern technologies in an Agile environment.The ideal candidate brings strong full-stack development experience, a growth mindset, and a passion for learning emerging technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, implement, and maintain enterprise applications and interfaces Collaborate with Agile teams, architects, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions Contribute to full-stack application development using modern frameworks and technologies Support application availability, resiliency, and scalability initiatives Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement efforts Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices Work with APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and containerized environments Occasionally travel based on business needs Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field 3+ years of software engineering experience Hands-on experience with at least one of the following:JavaScript Java Angular TypeScript HTML/CSS .NET Python APIs Preferred Qualifications Experience with modern frameworks such as:Spring Boot Angular React Node.js Bootstrap Experience developing REST APIs and related technologies:Kafka KSQL Kong Swagger/OpenAPI Experience with containerization and orchestration tools:Docker Kubernetes Experience with relational and NoSQL databases:SQL Server MongoDB Exposure to cloud platforms such as:AWS Azure Google Cloud Platform (GCP) What We’re Looking ForStrong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Passion for continuous learning and technology innovation Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
