The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable McDonald’s restaurant and ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These standards are high, so this is a big job.
Responsibilities include:
Set restaurant goals in collaboration with the leader and create plans to achieve them.
Lead a team of Department Managers, helping them set their own goals, monitor progress, and provide coaching and direction to improve each department.
Hire, develop, and manage Department and Shift Managers to build a strong future‑ready team.
Maintain profitability and operational excellence across all aspects of the restaurant.
The role is for a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s Corporation or McDonald’s USA, LLC.
The independent franchisee, not McDonald’s Corporation or McDonald’s USA, LLC, is solely responsible for all employment matters in the restaurant—including hiring, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.
