Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) to join our team! SGS, LLC is an Oklahoma based General Contractor / Design-Builder. We currently have openings for qualified personnel on our commercial construction projects.ResponsibilitiesImplement EM 385-1-1 requirementsInvolved in all aspects of construction project from planning to implementationAbility to plan for and assign resources as applicable for projectsSupervise safety of all onsite personnel and subcontractorsManagement/Enforcement of SGS’s Safety Program and Security PoliciesConduct regular safety meetings with trade subcontractorsConduct safety for all new employees onsiteRequired to ensure all personnel onsite are equipped with proper PPEInterface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, government officials, etc.Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to approved plans and specificationsQualificationsMust have minimum of 5 years of experience on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projectsMust have current OSHA 30-Hour card and CPR/First Aid certificationsMust be familiar with requirements of the EM 385 1-1, 2014 version40Hr EM385 Certification 24Hr Fall Protection Competent Person Certification REQUIREDKnowledge and experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, requires applicants to be of able body to assist in performing certain portions of the work, and to manage and schedule subcontractorsExperience with USACE RMS softwareThorough knowledge and understanding of construction means and methodsStrong leadership qualitiesDeadline and detail-orientedCompany DescriptionSGS, LLC (SGS) is a professional construction services firm, offering General Contracting, Construction Management and Design-Build services to Government, Corporate and Private Clients.
