Business Unit Controller

Job DescriptionWorld class multi-plant manufacturer of aerospace components. NYSE parent had record revenues and profits in 2025 and beat Wall Street estimates Q2 2026. This business segment is in the $75-90M range, profitable, growing, and a key component of an expanding network serving commercial and defense aerospace markets. Growth has come from product development, expanding customer base, and reinvestment into infrastructure.Looking for a proactive financial leader with strong business acumen and VP potential. Be a key business partner to GM, engineering/R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and marketing on everything from new contracts and margin management to demand planning and vendor negotiations. Lead projects to improve EBITDA and working capital, support revenue growth, enhance business processes, integrate acquisitions, and drive goal attainment. Key areas of responsibilities and contribution opportunities:Lead monthly financial accounting and reporting; ensure financial complianceManage operational accounting; partner with manufacturing and supply chain to understand variances in product cost, OTD, inventory management, capital expenditures, demand forecastingShort/long range strategic planning and budgetsFinancial forecasting and analytics, KPIs, metrics for revenues and expensesFinancial reporting of analytics and forecastsAnalyze trend data in key performance indicators including revenue, cost of sales, gross profit margin, expenses, working capital, site P/Ls, etc.Team with sales on pricing, margin management, and forecastingTake Gemba walks and contribute on process improvementLead and mentor a team of four direct reports plus staffREQUIREMENTS: BS Finance or Accounting required; MBA a plus. Musthave 8+ years of business experience that most recently includes financial leadership within a manufacturing business unit. Experience needs to include financial & KPI reporting, budgets, business modeling/analysis, cost accounting (material, labor scrap, OT, inventory), and process improvements. Must be willing to travel 20% - 25% within North America.REWARD: $170,000 to $190,000 DOE plus bonus, LTIP, and upside.
