Their team combines real estate expertise, market knowledge, and a fast-paced approach to help clients execute value-driven opportunities.Position OverviewWe are seeking a Real Estate Financial Analyst to support underwriting, valuation, and market research efforts across a variety of commercial real estate transactions. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong analytical skills, experience reviewing financials and real estate documentation, and the ability to present findings clearly to internal stakeholders.The ideal candidate has experience in commercial real estate underwriting, valuation, or financial analysis. Residential underwriting experience will also be considered. Experience using CoStar is highly preferred, and prior experience working for a lender is considered a strong plus.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport underwriting and valuation of commercial real estate transactions Build and review financial and cash flow models in Excel Analyze financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements Evaluate key CRE metrics such as NOI, cap rates, IRR, DSCR, and comparable sales Conduct market research and comparable analysis using tools such as CoStar and other industry platforms Review leases, rent rolls, offering memorandums, and supporting documentation Assist in preparing underwriting summaries, investment memos, and presentations Present findings and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders Support the team with data organization, research, and transaction analysis Core QualificationsExperience in real estate underwriting, valuation, or financial analysis Strong understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals and financial metrics Ability to build and analyze financial models in Excel Experience reviewing and interpreting financial statements Experience conducting market research and comparable analysis Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience using CoStar Previous experience working for a lender, private lending firm, or financial institution is a strong plus Familiarity with ARGUS is a plus Basic knowledge of zoning and land use terminology Experience reviewing leases, rent rolls, and offering memorandums Comfortable working with financial documentation and large datasets Strong communicator capable of preparing clear reports and summaries Proactive and self-managed in a remote environment Interested in commercial real estate markets and investment analysis
