Sr. Power BI Data Analyst

Senior Power BI Data Architect We are seeking a Senior Power BI Data Architect to help lead a large-scale enterprise BI modernization initiative focused on migrating from IBM Cognos to Microsoft Power BI. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep hands-on Power BI expertise with strong architectural experience across semantic modeling, enterprise data warehousing, cloud platforms, and analytics governance. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in building scalable reporting foundations that support self-service analytics across multiple business domains. You will partner closely with Data Architects, Engineering teams, and business stakeholders to design and implement modern, high-performing BI solutions in a cloud-based environment. This role requires a combination of technical depth, strong communication skills, and the ability to partner effectively across engineering, analytics, and business teams. Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, design, and develop scalable enterprise semantic models to support self-service Power BI analyticsPartner with Data Architects and ETL teams to ingest, transform, and prepare complex datasets for reporting and analytics consumptionDesign and optimize star schemas, relational models, and enterprise reporting structuresDevelop and maintain high-performance Power BI datasets, dashboards, and reports using advanced DAX and data modeling techniquesMonitor and optimize Power BI Workspaces and Fabric capacities to ensure scalability, performance, and reliabilityTroubleshoot and resolve report rendering, dataset refresh, and performance bottlenecksEstablish and enforce enterprise standards, governance policies, and best practices for Power BI developmentLead initiatives related to metadata management, data lineage, data quality, and reporting documentationCollaborate directly with business stakeholders to translate analytical requirements into scalable BI solutionsProvide technical leadership and mentorship to both IT teams and business usersSupport CI/CD deployment processes and source control best practices across BI environments Required Qualifications10+ years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years in BI architecture, analytics engineering, or enterprise reportingAdvanced hands-on experience with Power BI, including:Semantic modelingDAXPower QueryPerformance optimizationEnterprise reporting architectureFabric capacitiesStrong expertise in relational databases and SQL development, including complex query writing and optimizationExperience working with cloud-based data warehousing platforms such as Amazon RedshiftStrong understanding of enterprise data modeling, dimensional modeling, and star schema designExperience working within AWS cloud environments and related database servicesStrong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and analytics data architectureExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work across technical and business teamsProven ability to work collaboratively within large enterprise environmentsExperience with source control and CI/CD deployment processes using Azure DevOps or similar tools Preferred QualificationsExperience with IBM Cognos architecture or migration initiativesExperience with Informatica IDMC Cloud Data Catalog and GovernanceBackground supporting enterprise-wide self-service analytics initiativesExposure to data governance, lineage, and enterprise reporting strategy initiatives Additional Details5 days a week on-site (Winston-Salem, NC or Radnor, PA) 75666
