We seek qualified, highly motivated, and experienced professionals to work in a supportive but demanding environment.Location: King Edward VII Memorial Hospital GeneralThe incumbent is responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering programmes of therapy following referral from a physician, with the goal of facilitating the resumption of the patients' former life roles in a full or altered capacity.Responsibilities include:Meeting productivity standards set by the department for direct patient contact and other related non-patient contact dutiesPerforming an appropriate assessment on all in and /or out patients following referrals using objective clinical measures to identify problems, and formulate treatment plans based on realistic stated goals.Carrying out specific therapeutic interventions as indicatedProviding supervision and delegation of specific written treatment plans to aides, assistants, and/or studentsObserving and evaluating treatment effects and communicates patient progress or lack thereof to appropriate staff and physiciansMaintaining patient documentation using the appropriate paperwork and electronic medical recordPreparing specific clinical reports as requestedQualifications &/ Registration required:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required with certification, if applicable, in jurisdiction of training1-2 years post graduate experience in a related Physiotherapy environment, preferably within a hospitalLocal registration to practice with the Council for Allied Health Professions (CAHP)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; liaison with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of careWork Type: Full TimeSchedule: Allied Health Services participates in a six-day rota that includes evenings, weekends and public holidaysSalary Scale: $54.4239 per hour (BP25-27)
