Staff Material Planning Analyst

About The RoleZT Systems is seeking a Staff Material Planning Analyst who will be based out of our NJ HQ reporting directly to our Senior Manager of Operations. The Material Planning Analyst must be detail-oriented, organized, and have a high level of comfort in working with numbers. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate professionally and clearly and will also have strong analytical, computer, and verbal skills. This position interfaces with Manufacturing, Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Demand Planning, and Operations.What You’ll DoCommunicate with the Manufacturing schedule/planning team on the material statusEfficiently manage and monitor production demands and inventory requirementsReview demand vs. supply to ensure a healthy supply planWorking with cross-function teams to streamline process and ensuring accurate inventoryMonitor the incoming supply to enhance flexibility and reduce internal line downtime riskAct as a point of contact on material planning for issue escalations and resolutionUnderstand root causes for shortages and drive action to recover in the fastest possible durationAnalyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvementCollaborate with the team to drive the most cost-effective planWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Computer Science, Production Planning, Logistics or related field and 5+ years of experience, preferably in Supply Chain/Production Planning (alternatively a Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience).Expertise with MS Office applications, especially ExcelExcellent interpersonal, verbal communication, organizational, and writing skillsKnowledge of principles and providing independent judgment and decision-making skillsPlanning, organizing, prioritizing, attention to detail and accuracyInformation gathering and information monitoringStrong Analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong work ethic and sense of disciplineFlexibility, adaptability, and customer service orientationZT Systems assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package is created for all our employees. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between $82,500 and $101,000 per year. If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.Base salary is just one component of ZT Systems total rewards philosophy.
