Kinematic Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer

We are seeking highly motivated Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineers to support the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract's (SWDC) Threat Products Services (TPS) / Threat Modeling Center (TMC) at Schriever Space Force Base, in Colorado Springs, CO.This exciting career opportunity at the TMC is responsible for the development and delivery of high-fidelity threat modeling products in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and MDA's Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). The TMC Kinematic Systems Engineer is responsible for working with a group of engineers that generates the kinematic output data of simulated missile trajectories for the TMC.This role requires employees to be onsite daily with no option for remote/hybrid work.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline preferred with 2 years of relevant experience, or 0-2 years' experience with a Masters' DegreeAbility and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needsApplicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to startExperience in modeling and simulationKnowledge of missiles and six degrees of freedom (6 DoF) trajectory representationFamiliarity with missile defense system components and their interoperabilityUnderstanding of Linux and Windows based platforms with their associated softwareAbility to work independently and in groups and must be a self-starterExcellent time management, schedule estimationExcellent oral and written communication skillsPreferred Requirements:Knowledge of missile targeting and allocation and "Red Force" laydownsExperience with infrared and radar cross section (RCS) signaturesExperience in systems engineering and/or software development and testing, especially with Agile methodologyExperience working within the Missile Defense Agency, especially related to Ground Test exercises/eventsA current DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
