(Candidates will be required to transfer Visa to CIS, Inc.)Role Description This full-time Senior Python Developer role is a hybrid position based in Charlotte, NC, with a mix of on-site work and work from home. The Senior Python Developer will design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and services, focusing on performance, reliability, and clean architecture. Daily responsibilities include writing and reviewing code, implementing APIs and integrations, optimizing existing systems, and troubleshooting issues across the stack. The individual will collaborate with product managers, analysts, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, and will contribute to technical design, code review, testing, and documentation. The role also involves mentoring less-experienced developers, promoting best practices in software development, and participating in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and stand-ups.QualificationsStrong proficiency in Python programming and experience building production-grade applications and services.Background in software engineering principles, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.Experience with web frameworks (such as Django or Flask) and developing RESTful APIs or microservices.Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design, querying, and performance tuning.Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.Experience with testing frameworks and practices, including unit, integration, and automated testing.Comfort working in Agile or similar iterative development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.Ability to analyze complex technical problems, propose solutions, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and deployment pipelines is highly beneficial.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Prior experience in a senior or lead developer role, including mentoring and code review responsibilities.
