Backed by a family with deep roots in the functoonal food and beverageindustry — including the successful launch, growth and sale of Muscle Milk — The Gym SodaCompany combines industry experience with startup energy, creating opportunities for teammembers to grow alongside the business and make a real impact every day.The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and highly strategic Head of Sales / VP of Sales to lead and scaleGym Soda’s national sales organization.Reporting directly to executive leadership, this role will lead the commercialization andexpansion of the Gym Soda platiorm across the United States. The ideal candidate brings deepbeverage industry experience, strong national account relationships, and a proven ability tobuild profitable revenue growth through strategic distribution expansion.This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth emerging beverage brand at a pivotal stage ofexpansion and directly shape its national growth strategy.Key Responsibilities• Lead and scale national sales initiatives across retail, DSD, and distribution channels• Build and expand a national Direct Store Delivery (DSD) network while accelerating nationalaccount growth• Deliver profitable revenue growth through strategic retail execution, distribution expansion,and market development• Build and lead a high-performing sales organization while establishing scalable salesinfrastructure for long-term growth• Develop strategic partnerships with retailers, distributors, and broker networks nationwideQualifications & ExperienceThe ideal candidate will bring 12+ years of beverage industry sales leadership experience with aproven track record of delivering profitable revenue growth, expanding national accounts, andbuilding successful DSD networks.Must-Have Qualifications• Ability and willingness to travel nationally• Proven ability to navigate national retail accounts and large-format environments• Demonstrated success building and expanding beverage distribution networks• Strong experience scaling DSD operations and national account growth• Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teamsPreferred Experience• Functional beverage or better-for-you (BFY) beverage experience strongly preferred• Experience within emerging or high-growth beverage categories• Background within modern soda, functoonal beverage, or adjacent beverage brands such asPoppi, Olipop, and other functional beverage platformsNatoonal travel is required.Team & StructureThis role reports directly to executive leadership and will oversee an existing sales organizationof approximately 10 team members, with responsibility for continuing to build and scale thenational sales function.What Success Looks LikeIn the first 6–12 months, this leader will be expected to accelerate national distribution growth,strengthen retail execution, expand strategic accounts, and build scalable sales processes thatsupport long-term profitable growth.Benefits & CompensationGym Soda offers a competitive executive compensation package designed to rewardperformance and long-term growth, including:• Performance-based bonus opportunity of approximately 25–30% led to over-planperformance• Equity-based compensation potential• 401(k) program• High-impact leadership opportunity within a rapidly growing beverage platform
