Core Java Developer

Job DescriptionInsight Global is seeking a Core Backend Java Developer for a top financial services client. This individual will join a team supporting a mission-critical regulatory application responsible for aggregating data from multiple sources and performing complex regulatory calculations and processing. The ideal candidate will possess strong Core Java fundamentals, as this is the most important skill identified by the hiring manager, along with experience in Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, JMS, Java caching, multithreading, and CI/CD concepts.This position is heavily backend-focused, with approximately 70% of the work dedicated to Java development and modernization efforts. A key initiative for the team is migrating a legacy application from JBoss to Tomcat, with JMS configuration representing one of the primary technical challenges. The team has also begun leveraging Microsoft Copilot Studio to build internal AI agents and business solutions. While AI and Copilot experience are considered strong differentiators, the hiring manager emphasized that exceptional Java development experience and backend engineering expertise are the primary requirements for success in the role.
