We are looking for individuals with the drive and desire to join our team and help us continue to grow.Position Title: Shipping & Receiving Supervisor (2nd Shift)Summary The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor is responsible for leading all outbound and inbound shipping operations on 2nd shift, with full accountability for team performance, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency. This role requires a hands-on leader who can develop employees, enforce standards, and ensure all shipments meet customer and company requirements.This is a key leadership position supporting off-shift operations, requiring strong decision-making, problem-solving, and the ability to independently manage workflow, personnel, and priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and develop a team of shipping and receiving employees (typically 510+ team members)Set daily priorities, assign work, and hold team accountable for performance, accuracy, and productivityConduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address performance issues as neededApprove employee time and attendance and ensure proper staffing levelsOperational ExecutionOversee all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with customer requirementsMonitor shipping schedules and proactively resolve issues to prevent delaysAudit shipments for accuracy, quality, labeling, and documentationEnsure proper palletizing, shrink wrapping, banding, and labeling of all shipmentsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentInventory & Systems ManagementMaintain inventory accuracy and investigate/resolve discrepanciesEnsure all material movement is properly documented in inventory and transfer systemsUtilize ERP/WMS systems, scanners, and mobile devices to track and manage inventory and shipmentsCross-Functional CoordinationCommunicate effectively with Production, Sales, and Logistics to ensure on-time and accurate shipmentsCoordinate priorities based on production schedules and customer requirementsEnsure compliance with domestic and international shipping standards when applicableSafety & Continuous ImprovementEnforce all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of forklifts and material-handling equipmentIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, and efficiencyRequired Qualifications35 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations in a manufacturing or distribution environmentMinimum 2 years of direct supervisory experience with responsibility for employee performance, scheduling, and accountabilityExperience leading teams of 5+ employees in a fast-paced environmentStrong working knowledge of shipping processes, documentation, and inventory controlHands-on experience with ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS)Forklift and pallet jack experience (certification preferred or ability to obtain)Proven ability to troubleshoot issues and make sound decisions independentlyStrong communication and organizational skills with high attention to detailPreferred QualificationsExperience with international shipping and documentation requirementsExperience working with customer-specific shipping standards and compliance requirementsEducation RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and move throughout the warehouse for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds as neededAbility to safely operate material-handling equipmentShift Details2nd Shift: MondayThursday, 3:00 PM 1:30 AM (4x10 schedule)Overtime as required, typically twice per month on Fridays (8-hour shifts)What Success Looks Like in This RoleShipments are consistently on time, accurate, and compliant with customer requirementsInventory discrepancies are minimal and quickly resolvedThe team operates safely, efficiently, and with clear accountabilityStrong communication and coordination with other departments ensures smooth operations across shiftsWhy This Role MattersThis position plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction and operational success by owning all shipping and receiving activities on 2nd shift.
