This role involves identifying prospective clients, assessing their insurance needs, and delivering customized risk management solutions. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-driven professional with strong sales acumen and a deep understanding of commercial insurance products and markets.Key Responsibilities:Sales and Business DevelopmentIdentify and pursue prospective commercial clients through networking, cold calling, referrals, and industry events.Develop and execute sales strategies in collaboration with the Sales Manager to meet new business targets.Conduct in-depth needs assessments to recommend customized insurance solutions.Prepare and deliver tailored insurance proposals, articulating value, and coverage benefits.Maintain an accurate and current sales pipeline in the CRM system.Partner with marketing to guide market campaigns and prospecting efforts.Contribute to cross-selling opportunities by identifying and sharing leads with other lines of business.Client Relationship ManagementServe as the primary liaison for clients, responding promptly to inquiries, concerns, and service requests.Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships with a focus on retention and satisfaction.Conduct periodic coverage reviews to ensure continued adequacy and identify upsell opportunities.Collaborate with Account Managers to deliver superior client service and maintain retention rates.Market and Industry KnowledgeStay current on industry trends, carrier appetite, market conditions, and regulatory changes.Build relationships with underwriters and insurance carriers to negotiate favorable client terms.Attend conferences, training sessions, and industry events to expand professional knowledge and network.Documentation and ComplianceMaintain accurate, timely documentation of client interactions and sales activities in the agency management system (Applied Epic).Ensure all new business, renewals, and endorsements comply with company policies and regulatory standards.Coordinate with internal teams to deliver seamless onboarding and service.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferredMinimum of 3–5 years of experience in sales, consulting, or client-facing business developmentMust have a valid Property and Casualty license that is maintained in the state of businessProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Applied Epic, and IndioStrong sales and consultative skills with a focus on solutions-based sellingEffective written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and negotiationClient-focused, with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships over timeAbility to work independently and collaboratively across departmentsSelf-motivated and goal-driven with a growth-oriented mindsetTravel will be required for client meetings, networking events, and training sessionsAbility to pass a criminal background check, as permitted by lawLocations: Remote or hybrid work options available for residents of Illinois, Iowa, or MinnesotaBenefits:Competitive Compensation PackageHealth Insurance Plans (PPO, HSA, Copay Options)Dental InsuranceVision InsuranceCompany Paid Disability InsuranceSupplemental Insurance including Critical Illness, Accident, Legal, Pet Insurance401(k) with Safe Harbor MatchPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysNo Solicitation Notification to Agencies: Please note that Keystone and our Partner Agencies do not accept unsolicited resumes or calls from third-party recruiters or employment agencies.
