Job Description Manage litigation matters from intake through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, deposition work, trial preparation, and trial support Draft, review, and argue motions, pleadings, and other key litigation filings Take and defend depositions and handle fact development throughout the life of a case Work directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and the court Conduct legal research and develop case strategy in collaboration with partners and senior attorneys Handle public entity, general liability, insurance defense, and related civil litigation matters Help mentor and support junior attorneys as you grow within the firm Maintain strong case organization, time management, and responsiveness in a fast-paced practice Qualifications Active California Bar license JD from an ABA‑accredited law school 2+ years of litigation experience Experience handling key phases of litigation, including written discovery, depositions, and motion practice Strong legal writing, oral advocacy, and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage cases with minimal supervision Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Public entity litigation experience preferred Civil rights litigation experience highly desired Experience with Clio and Lexis is a plus Why You Will Love Working Here We believe strong lawyers do their best work in an environment that supports both professional growth and personal balance.
