Cloud Database Administrator

We are working with a leading technology solutions provider to the U.S. government, specializing in advanced engineering and digital modernization, on an exciting opportunity.The Role Lead enterprise database environments, specifically MySQL and PostgreSQL, migrating them to AWS Cloud. Administer, configure, maintain, and optimize MySQL clusters across on-premises and AWS cloud environments. Ensure security, availability, reliability, and scalability of mission-critical databases. Design and implement database architecture, capacity planning, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies. Collaborate with stakeholders, application teams, and infrastructure engineers to streamline deployments and improve database reliability. Provide on-site support at DOT Headquarters several days per week, with availability for early or late shifts.What You'll Need Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience, with 10+ years strongly preferred. Strong hands-on expertise in MySQL Cluster administration is essential. In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL and MySQL installation, configuration, optimization, and maintenance. Proven ability to manage these databases across multiple platforms, including VMware, AWS EC2, RDS, and Aurora. Experience with database performance tuning, SQL query optimization, and implementing security solutions.
