Serving the most prestigious institutions with full-service construction management and project management services since the 1980’s.With annual revenues in excess of $45M, they have grown year over year, continuing to cement their expertise across the healthcare environment, adding value to clients as they go.With repeat business from institutions such as Northwell, Yale & United Healthcare to name but a few, they are looking for a Chief Estimator to join the business and provide competitive bidding for a variety of project work throughout the tri-state area.About The RoleAs a Chief/ Senior Estimator, you will manage a team of 3 all focused on competitively bidding for interior fit-out and renovation works in addition to select ground-up projects spanning the tri-state area with project values averaging from $2M to $40M.As a Chief /Senior Estimator, you will be expected to manage the following on a daily basis:Analyzing and interpreting architectural plans/ construction blueprints.Capable of performing detailed quantity take-offs and organizing the quantities with unit pricing in production of a complete cost estimate.The ability to build a full conceptual cost estimate from architectural sketches/schematics.Experience across lump-sum, Design+Build, and GMP contract types.Providing detailed proposals and accurate bid packages.Experience in developing and implementing value engineering solutions to drive down project costs for the owner while maintaining a high level of construction quality.The ability to negotiate throughout the bidding process.What You'll NeedIn order to be successful as a Chief/ Senior Estimator, you will have 8+ years’ experience competitively bidding for commercial project work within a GC | CM environment weighted across interior fit-out and renovation project work. You will be comfortable bidding on projects valued at up to $30M independently and be competent across all trades, inclusive of MEP’s.Having healthcare, or life science specific project experience is not essential, but advantageous.
