HVAC Technician - In‑House Data Center (Quant Trading Firm)Location: West Little Rock, AR (100% on-site) Type: Full-time Environment: Owner-operated, high-performance computing / trading infrastructure Travel: Occasional (quarterly) travel to ChicagoA highly profitable, technology-driven quantitative trading firm is building and operating its own private data center and is hiring an HVAC / Critical Facilities Technician to support on-site infrastructure operations. This is an internal role supporting a single, high-priority environment where uptime, performance, and precision matter.You'll work closely with engineers and operations teams to maintain and optimize mission-critical mechanical and electrical systems supporting low-latency, high-density compute workloads.What You'll DoSupport day-to-day operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of HVAC and critical infrastructure systems (cooling, power distribution, plumbing, backup systems)Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and system audits to ensure equipment operates within specificationAssist with infrastructure upgrades, optimizations, and system improvementsRespond to incidents and emergency conditions, helping diagnose root causes and restore systems quicklyMaintain detailed logs of maintenance activity, system performance, and issue resolutionPartner with facilities, IT, and security teams to protect data center uptimeSupport installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and systemsAssist with IT infrastructure tasks as needed (racking, stacking, cabling)What We're Looking For3-5+ years of experience in HVAC, data center operations, or critical facilitiesWorking understanding of: HVAC and cooling systemsPower distribution and backup powerMission-critical environmentsStrong hands-on troubleshooting skillsComfortable working in a high-availability, high-expectation environmentWillingness to be on-call and work flexible hours as requiredEPA certification is a plusPrior data center or critical infrastructure experience strongly preferredWhy This Role Is DifferentOwner-operated data center (not colo, not outsourced FM)Direct exposure to infrastructure supporting real-time trading and high-performance computingSmall, tight-knit team with close collaboration between engineering, facilities, and technology groupsEmphasis on accountability, transparency, and doing things right the first timeCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive payStrong benefits package401(k) with employer match up to $12,250 and immediate vestingHealth, dental, and vision insurance (many plans at low or no cost)Paid time offRegular meals, team events, and on-site perksLong-term stability with a consistently profitable firm
