Inpatient Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist (ICDIS) – RemoteLocation: 100% Remote (Candidates can work from anywhere within the U.S.)Schedule: Sunday – ThursdayHours: 40 hours/week + overtime as neededContract Length: 30 WeeksGuaranteed Hours: 40/weekWe are seeking an experienced Inpatient Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist (ICDIS) to join a remote healthcare documentation and compliance team. The ideal candidate will have strong inpatient CDI experience, concurrent medical record review expertise, and advanced knowledge of ICD coding, disease processes, and regulatory compliance.Responsibilities:Perform concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient medical records to identify documentation improvement opportunitiesEnsure documentation accurately reflects severity of illness, risk of mortality, medical necessity, co-morbidities, and complexity of careValidate coding accuracy and support compliant coding and billing practicesCollaborate with physicians, coding teams, nursing, case management, and allied healthcare staff to clarify documentation gapsFacilitate compliant physician queries and documentation modificationsApply federal/state regulations, coding guidelines, and payer-specific documentation requirementsEducate providers and healthcare staff on clinical documentation integrity standards and best practicesSupport quality improvement initiatives and documentation compliance effortsMaintain productivity and quality standards while working independently in a remote environmentRequirements :Minimum 2 years of experience in an Inpatient Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist (ICDIS) roleMinimum 12 months of current production experienceExperience with concurrent review of medical records and ICD codingStrong analytical thinking, problem solving, and critical thinking skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionRequired Certifications/Credentials (one or more required):CDIP or CCDSRHIT or RHIARN or RRTCCS or CCS-PInternational or Domestic Medical DegreeEducation :High School Diploma or GED requiredPreferred Skills:Knowledge of disease processes/pathophysiologyKnowledge of medications/pharmacologyRegulatory compliance experienceStrong collaboration and communication abilitiesAbout Pride Health- Pride Health offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendorsEqual Employment OpportunityPride Health is an equal opportunity employer.
