Job DetailsDescriptionCLINICAL SUPERVISORCRITICAL CAREPosition SummaryA clinical competent registered professional nurse who delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for supervising, delegating and coordinating the patient care provided throughout the health system. Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and health care team members while maintaining the standards of professional nursing. Works directly under the supervision of the Director of Acute Care Services.ResponsibilitiesPerforms oral and written disciplinary action with affirmation of DirectorCommunicates with preceptors and preceptees regarding performanceCompletes employee schedules, vacation, and PTO requestsStaffing in coordination with Director, PCC, bed schedulerHandle concurrent patient complaints, concerns and issues while documenting appropriatelyDelegation of POCT, RN, and Unit Clerk assignmentsInvestigate all occurrences to include writing a detailed report to the DirectorIn charge of death and required documentation / paperworkIn charge of all emergency codes: green, orange, etc.Completes 30-60-90 day competencies and annual evaluationsOther duties as assigned RequirementsCurrent RN Licensure for OhioBLS Certification (Mandatory)ACLS Certification (Mandatory within 12 months)Understand/Implement CCU/ICU policies and proceduresAbility to work independentlyDemonstrated leadership abilities requiredMaintain knowledge of new technology and equipmentTakes initiative to promote teamwork and a positive work environmentLMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.Licking Memorial Health Systems is an equal opportunity employer and maintains compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations.
